Course

The race begins and ends at Holzer Sycamore Branch. The course crosses Ohio Avenue and ventures through the grouds of GDC and the OO McIntyre Trail and finishes back at Holzer Sycamore. 

Entry Fees

Early registration:  $20 if pre-registered by October 7th, 2017.  

$25 after October 7th and on race day.

Pre-register by October 28 to guarantee your A Heart Like Ava 5K race day t-shirt.

Charity Information

A Heart Like Ava is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity created in memory of 6 1/2 month old Ava Mae Lasseter who lost her battle with Congenital Heart Defects on May 23, 2014. A Heart Like Ava (AHLA) is dedicated to spreading CHD Awareness, funding CHD research, and supporting other families affected by CHDs. At least 50% of the proceeds from this race will be donated to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Heart Institute Research Center, where advances are being made in the treatment of CHDs. The remainder of the proceeds will fund the AHLA care package program and provide assistance directly to families affected by Congenital Heart Defects.

Hot chocolate, bottled water, fruit, & snacks will be provided. Come join us! Help us honor Ava and all of our Heart Warriors & Angels and support CHD research efforts! 

There will be multiple items raffled off after the race.  Tickets will be $5 for 6 tickets or $10 for an arm length of tickets.

We will also have a toy drive the morning of the race. Toys collected will be donated to children in the heart units at CCHMC.  Bring any new toy and we will put you into a drawing for a goodie basket of items from some of our favorite local places.
