Course

 Runners will start at the lake, head to Soccer Rd, cross the bridge, turn around at the intersection and return back. You may Run or walk the 5k course. 

Walkers will walk the mile around the lake. This is a walk only course around the lake.

Entry Fees

5K Runners AND Walkers:

Pre-registration $20 until OCTOBER 26 (NOON IS THE CUTOFF)

YOU CAN STILL REGISTER THE DAY OF THE RACE!

Registration fee day of race $25 

GROUPS OF 5+ GET A $5 DISCOUNT RATE

1 Mile Walkers:

Registration $15 up to and including race day

Extra shirts are availble for sale: Small- XL $12.00 and 2XL and larger are $15.00. Contact the race director for extra shirts.

Awards

Plaques for the Overall Male and Overall Female will get trophies.

THE FIRST 300 FINISHERS will get a finisher medals.

Trophies for First and Medals for Second place in each of the following age groups for male and female:

9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Charity Information

Gold Star Mothers of West Virginia is a non-profit organization whose projects are all funded by donations. These activities include but are not limited to helping to provide rememberance flags for veteran families, Wreaths Across America, Homeless Vets and Families Christmas Projects, Programs for Disabled Vets, and sending supplies to deployed servicemen and women. The term Gold Star describes a family member who has lost a loved one in military service.We honor the legacy of fallen heroes, support the missions and needs of their families, and raise awareness for Gold Star Families and Mothers. 

More Information

Memory signs will be for sale in honor and memory of loved ones lost to soon. These will be placed around the lake for the Memory Walk.

We will draw for door prizes. Awards will also go to the largest team and most patriotic team! Ceremony will begin at 8:30am, race will promptly start at 9:00am.
