March 18th will be our 2nd annual memorial 5k to remember and honor Brandon Sizemore. Brandon, at the age of 28, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer affecting the plasma  cells of the bone marrow. Currently, as with many cancers, myeloma has no cure. Brandon, in the course of his battle with cancer received all conventional treatment options available to him, including different chemotherapy regimens, radiation therapy, and two stem-cell transplants. Ultimately, Brandon had to rely on clinical trials for continued treatment. On January 22, 2016, Brandon, at the age of 33, sadly passed away due to complications of his cancer.

Registration for the race will be at Trimble Branch Park in Prestonsburg from 7:30a.m. to 8:45a.m with the race starting at 9:00a.m.  T-shirts will be guaranteed to the first 200 participants pre-registered​.  To be guaranteed a shirt you must be registered no later than 1 week prior to the race date.

The race will be professionally chip timed by TSR Timing Group. Results will be posted to TriStateRacer.com and new this year, participants can pre-register and provide their cell phone number to receive a text from TSR with their results!
