Course

Race starts on Lorain St., turns right on 4th St., turns right on Wyanoke St., turns right on 12 St., turns right on Lorain St., turns left into Woodland Cemetery. Stay to the left and complete one circle. Exit the cemetery and finish on 9th St.

Charity Information

Each year this race sponsors two full yearly scholarships to Ohio University southern campus. The Frank McCown Veterans scholarships are based on a dependent of a veteran in Lawrence County only. Scholarships can be renewed two years if requirements are met.

Also. this race has supported several Eagle Scout service projects to Boy Scout troop 106 as well as the parade cleanup.

Other donations have been to the Ironton Memorial Day parade committee and flags for the veterans section in Woodland Cemetery.  Also, paid for windows in the Military room in the Lawrence County Museum.

The historical Ironton Memorial Day parade starts at 10:00 am.

This is the largest and best organized 5K race in Ironton.
