Swim: 0.5 mile in Summit Lake (cool water temp.)

Bike: 17.1 miles from Summit Lake to Cranberry Mountain Nature Center on State Route 39/55 (hard surface with hills)

Run: 6.2 miles from Nature Center to locked gate below Cranberry Glades and back (rolling terrain with varying surface)

Help Richwood save the Scenic Mountain Triathlon! After suffering perhaps the most devastating flood in its history, Richwood has begun the process of rebuilding. This tragedy has left us no choice but to move the Scenic Mountain Triathlon to Aug. 28 with packet pick-up, Kid’s Duathlon, and Health Expo on Aug. 27. We hope that you will share this notice with your friends and family, encouraging more people to sign up for the race and/or volunteer to help us on race day. With your approval, your registration will be moved to the new date, August 28. If you cannot race on this date, the Richwood Chamber will refund your entry fee. Please e-mail me, Mary Jane Williams, with your race-day intentions, and please spread the word that we need more volunteers to work the race.   

Online Pre-Registration due by Thursday, August 25, 2016.  (Mailed in pre-registration must be received by Wednesday, August 24.)   Race is limited to 150 swimmers. Register early to ensure your spot. When registering as a USA Triathlon Member, you must have a valid membership card. For USA Triathlon membership applications call (719) 597-9090.
