Course

The course for the race is mostly flat and routed through the quaint, historic, towns of Ceredo and Kenova.The race will begin at 800 Beech Street in front of the old Ceredo-Kenova High School and end on Walnut Street in front of Kenova Elementary.

Entry Fees

$20 pre-registration before October 24, 2015. 

$25 registration day of the race.

Children receiving services at the Scottish Rite Clinic at Marshall University will have their registration fee waived. Those entries must be mailed in to the MUSHC.

Packets with race day t-shirts and bibs can be picked up October 23, 2015 from 5:00- 8:00pm at Kenova Elementary; 300 9th St. Kenova, WV. (Parking in front of the school near the flag pole).

Packets will also be availabe the morning of the race.

Race day t-shirts are not guaranteed for entries recieved after October 17, 2105. 

Entry fees are non-refundable.

 

 

Age Groups

Age Groups: 6-10,11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

 

Awards

Top 3 overall Male/female and top 3 male and female winners in each age group will recieve a medal.  Also,the school/club or organization who registers the most as a TEAM will receive $500.00.  This is a great way to support a great cause but also make money for your club/school or organization!

All procceeds from the The Jule Huffman Memorial 5K Run/Walk for the Kids will benefit the children receiving speech, language, and/or hearing services at the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center at Marshall University. 

The program provides a unique opportunity for children in the tri-state to develop communication skills needed to succeed in life in a supportive, compassionate atmosphere. The mission of the program is to provide financial assistance for speech, language and hearing service provision for children.

The program is sponsored by the Huntington Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Foundation, Inc. The non-profit foundation relies on fundraising activities and donations to provide financial support for the program.
