Course

This mostly flat race begins in the parking lot in front of the pool at Kanawha State Forest. After exiting the pool parking, you will race back to the entrance of Kanawha State Forest along the main road. Upon reaching the entrance, the race loops around the entrance sign and then you will proceed back to the pool parking lot. Participants will encounter a very slight uphill grade near the entrance of the Forest. After entering the pool parking lot, the race concludes. At this time, you will be very pleased with your accomplishment!

Entry Fees

• $20 if registration sent on or before May 10, 2015 
• $25 if registration sent after May 10, 2015
• While we would prefer you register before the day of the race so we can assure you recieve a t-shirt, you may also register the day of the race. Let's face it, half the fun of a race is getting that t-shirt. :)

• 40 - 49
• 50 - 59
• 60 - 69
• 70 & Over

Awards

Awards will be provided for the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers and the top 3 male and female finishers in each age bracket.

Charity Information

This race is being done in the memory of Tom Hopper. For those of you who did not know Tom, he was an avid morning runner and a long time soccer coach in the Kanawha Valley. Through the course of his life, Tom positively impacted the lives of hundreds of players, coaches, parents, volunteers, and others. As Tom would appreciate, all proceeds of this race will be donated to the Kanawha-Charleston Soccer Foundation. The race is not only designed as a means to raise money for this charitable group but is also a way to bring together those of us who knew Tom during his great life.  Assuming we have a well received turn-out, our intention is to make this race an annual event.
