Stepping Out for the Cure for Scleroderma

Course

The race course is on rolling hills with an elevation gain of about 318 feet. You will start and finish on the crushed gravel track by the lake. You will go the hill and turn left down the hill toward the soccer fields, cross the bridge to the turn around and head back to the finish the same way you came. There will be a water and aid station at the soccer field before the bridge. Runners will start first, followed by walkers. Alternately, you may walk around the lake, less than 1 mile, flat track. (No race awards)

Entry Fees

$25.00, which includes race/walk participation, t-shirt, and lunch. Fee will be waived for those bring sponsorship forms with at least two sponsors.

Age Groups

13 and under 14-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60 and over No duplication of awards

Awards

First and Second place male and female in each age group. First, Second and Third Place male and female over all.

WSAZ-TV News Anchor Tim Irr will emcee the event. Registration starts at 10 am, race starts at 11 am, lunch upon returning from the race. Chinese auction will also be at the picnic shelter. Proceeds from this event will go to the National Scleroderma Foundation which gives support to patients and families afflicted by Scleroderma, education, and research to find the cure
