Course

The course is a historical timeline of Lavalette's past, present and future. Beginning at the old N&W whistle-stop, it crosses State Route 152 and runs the ENTIRE length of Beech Fork Road before finishing at Beech Fork Marina. Parking at the marina parking lot, with shuttles before the race to the start line. This course is especially beautiful with large meadows, lakes and hills. The challenging grades are for those who want to test their time and endurance with true Appalachian spirit! The course is mainly flat, with 3 perfectly placed challenge grades at the beginning, middle and end. Don't miss it!

Age Groups

Official Timing Chips are available. Teams (up to 6 persons) are welcomed! 10 and under 11-14 40-44 15-18 45-49 19-24 50-54 25-29 55-59 30-34 60-65 35-39 66+ Kids 1 Mile Fun Run age is 13 and under.

Awards

Plaque Awards for First Place Male/Female/Walker. Medals for top 2 in each Age Group and Team Cup Trophy Award.

Race Day packets can be picked up June 1, 2012 from 4-6 pm at Lavalette Elementary School. Race Day Registration will begin at 6AM- Beech Fork Dam/Marina Visitors Center. ALL proceeds go to scholarships for area youth in need and community projects. Anyone can participate, including families w/ strollers and small children able to finish by 9:30AM.
