Course

A beautiful, scenic run/walk through picturesque Laurel Gorge in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. The race will be on paved surface with one gradual incline hill. It is an out and back race. While you are running/walking you will see beautiful surroundings of flora and fauna. You will be running along the Little Sandy river to one side and sandstone cliffs on the other. This area also has several hiking trails as well as a canoe/kayak launch. The race begins at Laurel Gorge Cultural Center where lots of information can be obtained about our area. This race will be hosted during our annual Heritage Festival, everyone is encouraged to stay after the race to attend and enjoy our family events. A Parade, live music, food, arts, crafts, children activities, car show, motocycle show are just a few of the attractions at this year\\\\\\\'s festival.

0-7, 8-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ WALKER ONLY AWARDS - 1ST 2ND AND 3RD PLACE WALKERS!!!!! GROUPS WELCOME! WALKERS WELCOME!! A special area will be designated at the back of the race line up for walkers only. AWARDS TO 1ST 2ND AND 3RD PLACE WALKER!!!
