Course

25K Haulin' in the Holler 25k Trail race is made up of 1.5 miles (9%) of paved/gravel road, 1 mile (6%) of four wheeler trail, and 13.1 miles (85%) of single track trails The race begins on a gravel road for about .5 miles before becoming paved for another .25 miles. This should allow time to spread out before heading into the single track trails on Creekside. Creekside is 1.5 miles of easy single track. Aid station one will be located about halfway through Creekside. Once you leave Creekside you will return to the paved road following it to the left and a gravel road to the gun range for about .5 miles. At this point you will turn left into single track trails taking you into the hills.The trails switch back up the hills until running into a gas line right of way. you will follow the gas line right of way for about 1 mile then return to single track trails that will take you back around the hills, out into the fairgrounds, and to the finish line. Pink surveyor ribbon will be placed along the trail to mark the route with double ribbons placed at turns on the side the turn is to be made. yellow ribbon placed on ground indicates routes that are not to be taken. Scouts and other volunteers will be at places that may be confusing.Remaining Aid stations will be placed around miles 5 and 10. 5K The 5K begins the samne as the 25K running through Creekside. Upon coming out of Creekside 5K runners will follow the road back to the Fairgrounds and the Finish line.The 5K route will be marked the same as the 25K with the exception of signs on the road indicating the route 5K runners are to take back to the fairgrounds.

Entry Fees

Entry fees for 25k are $40 before February 13, 2012 and $50 before March 12, 2012. Entry fees for the 5k are $20 before February 13, 2012 and $30 before March 12, 2012. Entry fees for the kids run are $5 Refunds on the 25k only will be granted minus $10 until March 1, 2012. No refunds after March 1. With the exception of the Kids Fun Run, race registration will close on all runs by March 12, 2012. Kids Fun Run registration will close by 8:00 AM on March 24, 2012

Age Groups

Age groups in 5k are: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Age Groups for 25k are: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over

Awards

Awards will be given for top 3 overall, top 2 in each age group, overall Master, and top 2 military participants in both the 25k and 5k races. All runners will recieve finish award in all races.

There will be a pre-race meal on Friday, March23, 2012 from 6:00-8:30 PM located in the room above the Eleanor Volunteer Fire Department. The menu will consist of spaghetti, Italian Chicken with noodles, tossed salad, bread, cookies, tea, coffee, water, and soda. The pre-race meal is included in all runners registration additional tickets may be purchased for guests for $10 each. Children 5 and under are free Packets can be picked up between 5:30-9:00 PM at the pre-race dinner Friday, March 23, 2012 located in the room above the Eleanor Volunteer Fire Department and 6:00-8:00 AM Saturday March 24, 2012 at the concession stand in Putnam County Park in Eleanor.
