Course

The course pays homage to Lavalette's past and present. It will start near the N&W depot building/Lavalette Women's Club on Smith Street before crossing State Route 152 and taking in the ENTIRE length of Beech Fork Road before ending at Beech Fork Marina. Parking will be encouraged at the marina parking lot, with shuttles before the race to the starting line. This special event marks the FIRST time this entire road will be open only to runners/walkers, so don't miss it! An especially attractive, Tour de France-styled scenery 5K Run/Walk, this road is mainly flat,paved,with 3 gentle grades.

Age Groups

There is NO age limit. Runners will be separated from walkers, and grouped according to pace per mile. This race will have official timing chips available!! :)

Race Day packets can be picked up at the Lavalette Women's Club on June 3 from 6:30-7:00 Race Day Registration will begin at 7AM ALL proceeds go to scholarship fund for an area youth in need and community projects. There is no age limit, anyone is encouraged to participate including families w/strollers and children able to finish the race by 10:30 AM. Children with a walking parent may also use bicycles to finish the course.
