Course

The course is a nice blend of nature's finest trails. The event will take the runner/walker through the Dickess tree farm. The Christmas Tree Challenge is the only one of its kind in the Tri-State area and not to mistaken for the typical 5k run. The trail has been painstakingly designed to provide the participant with a multitude of surfaces. The course will wind through groves of various Christmas trees in varying levels of maturity. It is an opportunity rarely experienced. The course will offer flat surfaces as well as gently climbing ascents and descents. It provides the experienced trail runner a fast run or a run of breathtaking splendor. For the average runner it provides a unique opportunity to experience multiple surfaces mixed with scenic beauty.

Entry Fees

$20.00 for Participants who pre-register prior to May 14th. $25.00 for Participants who register from May 15th to day of race. Registration will be available on day of event. The event will take place regardless of weather.

Age Groups

Awards

Uniquely crafted awards will be presented to runners who finish in top-3 overall in both men and women category. In addition: First place winners will receive a Christmas tree. Second place winners will receive a Christmas wreath. Third place winners will recieve a Candy Cane wreath. There will be a prize for cutest couple (owner and pet). There will be a prize for fastest couple (owner and pet). There will be a prize for most unique couple (owner and pet). All prizes are to be redeemed in December of 2011. All participants will receive 10% discount from future purchases of Dickess Tree Farm.

All participants who pre-register are guaranteed an uniquely designed shirt of requested size. Race committee will attempt to honor all requested shirt sizes but pre-registration is encouraged. All participants who pre-register are guaranteed a sack bag of similar unique style and design as shirt. There will be entertainment for children as we encourage family participation.
