Course

The course runs through downtown Ironton passing the Lawrence County Courthouse, old Ironton City Building, and many other local landmarks. Runners will also have wonderful views of the Ohio River and many of Ironton's architecturally significant homes. Although the course is mostly flat, there are a few challenging areas including running over a viaduct and beneath a train tressel. The exact course begins in front of the Faith and Fitness center at the intersection of 4th and Vernon Streets. Runners will go North on 4th Street to Etna Street and turn left then turn right onto 2nd Street. A right turn will then be made onto Elm Street which leads to 5th Street. Runners will head South on 5th Street and turn right onto Quincy Street then right again onto Fourth Street and end in front of the Faith and Fitness Center.

Age Groups

Male and Female 0-14, 15-19, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and up. Clydesdale (Males over 225 lb.) -Please use age on day of race

Awards

Awards ceremony will be immediately following the end of race. Awards for top 3 overall Male and Female and Top 3 Male and Female in each category.

This event is a fundraiser for the Faith and Fitness Center. Although it is associated with First Baptist Church, the Faith and Fitness Center is a publicly accessible entity of its own meaning all monies raised become the property of the Faith and Fitness Center and will remain separate from the church. -No duplication of awards -Refreshments available before and after the race -Course closes at 9:00 AM -T-shirts guaranteed to first 150 entrants -Walkers welcome Directions -Exit US 52 at the SR 93 exit. Drive into Ironton along Park Avenue and turn left onto 5th Street. Travel one block to Vernon Street and make a right and travel one block. - Turn left at the foot of the Ironton-Russell Bridge and travel along Adams Street to 4th Street. Turn left at 4th Street and travel one block.
