Course

The 5k (3.1 mile) course is a paved, double loop through the Maulsby Cove neighborhood. The race will start and finish in front of the Buzz Henderson Center. 

Entry Fees

Pre-registration discounted fee of $20 is available until July 12, 2024 and includes a finsiher medal. Regular registrations (after July 12) and on the day of the race are $25 and finisher medal is not guaranteed.

Rather than t-shirts for finishers, every pre-registered runner and walker will receive a finisher medal that is custom to this event. Special awards will be provided for overall male and female winners. Check out the special STINGER AWARD below!

Charity Information

All proceeds from the Run the Buzz 5k benefit Buzz Learning Academy- an afterschool program that will provide meals, homework help, sports, STEM, crafts, and a multitude of other activities for area youth.

STINGER AWARD! Wear your best bee costume for the race! From wings to stingers, probiscus to scopa, show us your best bee attire! Strollers and mannered pets on a leash are welcome. In the event of severe or dangerous weather, we will try to wait out the storm. If cancellation becomes necessary, there are no refunds and monies raised will benefit the Buzz Learning Academy. In this case, participants and spectators will be invited to play basketball or pickleball in the Buzz Henderson Center for the day at no cost.
