Course

The 5k (3.1 mile) course is a paved, double loop through the Maulsby Cove neighborhood. The race will start and finish in front of the Buzz Henderson Center. 

We would love to see you in person, but understand that busy schedules might make it hard to attend the event in person. Not to worry- you are invited to run or walk as a virtual participant! Complete a 3.1 mile course of your choice any time during the month of July 2024 and upload your results!

Entry Fees

Pre-registration discounted fee of $20 is available until July 18, 2024 and includes a finsiher medal. Regular registrations (after July 18) and on the day of the race are $25 and finisher medal is not guaranteed.

Age Groups

Awards

Rather than t-shirts for finishers, every pre-registered runner and walker will receive a finisher medal that is custom to this event. Special awards will be provided for overall male and female winners.

Charity Information

All proceeds from the Run the Buzz 5k benefit Buzz Learning Academy- an afterschool program that will provide meals, homework help, sports, STEM, crafts, and a multitude of other activities for area youth.

More Information

Wear your best bee costume for the race! From wings to stingers, probiscus to scopa, show us your best bee attire! Strollers and mannered pets on a leash are welcome. In the event of severe or dangerous weather, we will try to wait out the storm. If cancellation becomes necessary, there are no refunds and monies raised will benefit the Buzz Learning Academy. In this case, participants and spectators will be invited to play basketball or pickleball in the Buzz Henderson Center for the day at no cost.
