Course

Race starts on Lorain St., turns right on 4th St.,turns right on Wyanoke St., turns right on Lorain St., turns left into Woodland Cemetery, stay left and complete loop, exit cemetery and finish on 9th St.

Water station at mile 2. Mile splits at each mile.

Entry Fees

$20.00 pre-registration before May 25, 2019.  $25.00 after May 25th and day of race.

Top 3 overall male and female.  

Top 3 in each age group.

No duplication of awards.

Charity Information

Each year this race sponsors two full yearly scholarships to Ohio University Southern Campus.  The Frank McCown Veterans scholarships are based on a dependent veteran. Renewed two years if requirements are met.

Also, the race has supported several Eagle Scout service projects to Boy Scout Troop 106 as well as the parade cleanup.

Other donations include float awards to the Ironton Memorial Day Parade Committee, flags for the Veterans section in the Woodland Cemetery, windows in the military room at the Lawrence County Museum.

Drinks and food provided after race.  

The historic Ironton Memorial Day Parade starts at 10:00 am in downtown Ironton and generally runs 2 hours.
